SY Fabrics is a U.S.-based online fabric warehouse that carries a huge variety of materials, including fleece, steam velour, satin, faux fur, spandex, and more. All orders ship from their Los Angeles warehouse.
Why I like them:
- I’ve purchased fleece and steam velour, and both shipments arrived quickly and exactly as expected.
- Shipping is simple: $11.95 for orders up to $35; slightly higher for bigger orders.
- They offer swatches for many fabrics — helpful when ordering sight-unseen.
- In my experience, the fabrics are high quality and consistent, and I’ve had zero issues with my previous two shipments. I’m already waiting on my third! I’m not waiting anymore. Below you will see the sherpa they sent me. Absolutely gorgeous. It does have a flaw down the center of 60 in wide fabric piece of cake. I can work around that. It is beautiful. I did purchase these fabrics from the remanents file. They were $1.99/yard. I am very impressed with SYfabrics.
Tip: Start with a swatch or small cut if you’re trying a new fabric, but don’t be afraid — they’ve impressed me with speed and reliability.
