A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Gale!
Welcome to Sew Inclined Company! I’m the person behind the sewing machine, the fabric choices, and all the little details that go into making each piece.
I’ve been sewing for years, and one of my favorite parts of it is finding a beautiful fabric and figuring out what I can turn it into. I love the colors, the patterns, and the possibilities. Sometimes I start with a piece of fabric and an idea, and sometimes the fabric tells me what it wants to become!
Sew Inclined Company Is Run by ME, MYSELF AND I!
That’s right. There’s no big team hiding behind the scenes. It’s just me!
I’m the web designer, the sewist, the buyer, the photographer, the listing writer, and the person who answers the emails. I’m also the accountant, the tax accountant, the bookkeeper, and the one making trips to the bank, the fabric store, and the notions department.
And then there are the many craft fairs! I’m the muscle who loads and unloads the car, sets everything up, runs the fair, and takes everything down and loads and unloads the car when it’s over. By the time I get home, I’ve certainly earned a rest!
Running a small handmade business means wearing a lot of hats. Some days I’m sewing away at my machine, and other days I’m doing everything except sewing. I am Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. But I wouldn’t trade the satisfaction of making something with my own two hands for anything.
A Little Bit of Everything, Made by Hand
At Sew Inclined Company, you’ll find handmade bags, accessories, and practical items designed to be useful as well as lovely to look at. I’ve also expanded into products for CPAP users, because I know firsthand that everyday medical equipment doesn’t always fit the look and feel we want in our bedrooms.
I enjoy finding ways to make ordinary things a little prettier, more personal, and more enjoyable to use.
You won’t find a Big Box Store look here! I love beautiful fabrics, interesting prints, and the little details that make a handmade item special. I’m not turning out hundreds of identical products on an assembly line. I’m one person choosing the fabrics, doing the sewing, and putting my own time and care into every piece.
Since I’m a one-woman operation, each item really does come from me, from choosing the fabric to finishing the last seam. And that’s just the way I like it!
